On episode 362 of The Nurse Keith Show nursing and healthcare career podcast, Keith interviews podcast guest alum Amanda Guarniere of The ResumeRx and The NP Society regarding the 2022 nursing career and job market zeitgeist. If you want to know what’s going on in the nursing profession, this is an episode not to miss.
Since graduating from Yale School of Nursing in 2011, Amanda has been navigating her way through the professional world of medicine, figuring out how to achieve balance and spend her time making the biggest impact.
Amanda isn’t a former medical pro who now works behind a screen — she lives and breathes healthcare every day! She currently works part-time asan emergency medicine nurse practitioner in a Level I trauma center. She also works as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE). One of her core values is that the number one place to get credible, relatable medical knowledge is through hands-on patient care, so you won’t see Amanda hanging up her scrubs and white coat any time soon.
The Résumé Rx is a place to help modern medical professionals learn career and résumé strategy so that you can curate your career and design your life on your terms. Amanda provides resources about discovering your dream specialty, how to write a stand-out résumé & cover letter, and how to job search effectively.
Amanda is a married mother of three young girls, and she says that becoming a mother has been her greatest achievement (sorry, Yale!).
